Memorial Field

Memorial Field is the football stadium for Philipsburg-Osceola High School in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania.  The complex, which is adjacent to US Route 322, includes a practice field that is utilized by the P-O junior high football team.  Dedicated in 1929, Memorial Field has a seating capacity for 2,550 spectators.

Within the last ten years, new bleachers have been added on the home and visitor sidelines and as recently as 2006, a new state-of-the-art scoreboard has been installed in the south end zone.

Conceptual plans have been started to construct a new field house, but the project has been put on hold indefinitely.  Until the project can move forward, the home and visitor locker rooms have been renovated, an official’s room has been added, and modifications in the concession stand have been done.

In 2004, undefeated P-O hosted, undefeated and state ranked, Tyrone at Memorial Field.  The Mounties and Golden Eagles struggled to get the ball in the end zone.  However, in the second half, the Mounties were able to score and Ryan Mostyn blocked a Tyrone extra point attempt to win the game 7-6.  The standing-room-only crowd at the game was estimated to be over 5,000.
